Summary/Abstract: This article examines the concept of the inheritance of digital assets, an emerging phenomenon inthe context of the digitisation of everyday life, where digital goods—such as social media/YouTube accounts, cloud-stored files, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs—become objects of succession. The central question is whether this concept is compatible with the current legislation or whether legal amendments are required. The study raises several legal issues while also offering reference points and possiblesolutions.
