Summary/Abstract: Crime is a major challenge for contemporary societies, leading the authorities to adopt various strategies to prevent and reduce criminal behavior. From a criminological perspective, crime prevention involves understanding the root causes of crime, identifying risk factors, and implementing integrated public policies that include education, community interventions, surveillance technologies, and social reintegration programs. Raffaele Garofalo, in his work Criminology, defines crime as a deviation from the natural moral sense: "Crime violates those human feelings that are essential for social coexistence."2Technological progress has led to the transition from theory to act, namely to the possibility of more easily detecting suspicious behaviors that generate crime. Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasing lyvaluable tool in modern crime prevention strategies. Its use facilitates predictive analytics, real-time monitoring, and the anticipation of suspicious behavior, all with the goal of reducing crime and supporting proactive law enforcement interventions.
