Summary/Abstract: The appearance on the legal scene of the law on some protection measures for persons with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities has led to a series of successive amendments to other normative acts, due to the changes that have occurred in the field of exercise capacity, the institution of protection by judicial interdiction, the substantive condition of consent in the conclusion of legal acts, respectively of the discernment, with the related causes of nullity, of the measures for the protection of persons with disabilities. All this was analyzed in an article presented at the previous international conference. In this paper we propose to analyze the effects of the aforementioned normative act on the institution of marriage, a central institution in family law. The amending legal norms are critically analyzed, along with an analysis of the social effects produced in the three years since law enforcement on measures for the protection of individuals with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities.
