Summary/Abstract: This study explores authentic leadership as a strategic approach to fostering trust and engagement in organizations, particularly in the context of the increasing integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into leadership practices. The analysis is based on empirical data collected through standardized questionnaires measuring authentic leadership, work motivation, innovative behavior, and work meaning. The findings demonstrate strong correlations between key components of authentic leadership – self-awareness, ethics, transparency, and balanced processing – and vital aspects of organizational behavior such as intrinsic motivation, engagement, and innovation. Special attention is given to the dual role of AI in either enhancing or undermining perceived authenticity. While AI tools can support leader self-reflection and behavior adaptation, excessive automation of communication reduces the sense of genuine connection. The results highlight the need for a balanced leadership approach that maintains human presence and authenticity in digitally mediated work environments.
