Summary/Abstract: In the years leading up to the First World War, the city of Buzau underwent a notable process of development and modernisation. During this period, local authorities, among other activities, enacted a series of regulations and ordinances that introduced modern rules, including those related to public hygiene, food and beverage sanitation, the movement of motor vehicles and velocipedes, as well as the pricing of essential foods.
