Summary/Abstract: This study investigates the contributions of scholars of Crimean origin—who held an esteemed place in the Ottoman scholarly tradition—to the field of Arabic Language and Rhetoric. The research focuses specifically on the linguistic works authored by these scholars in the areas of morphology (ṣarf), syntax (naḥw), and rhetoric (balāgha), particularly within the scholarly traditions of authorship, commentary, and super-commentary. Spanning the fifteenth to nineteenth centuries, the study examines figures of Crimean descent who served in various roles within the Ottoman religious and educational institutions, including as professors (müderris), judges (qāḍī), and muftis. The research seeks to determine not only their written contributions but also to examine their interactions with the intellectual communities of the cities in which they lived, and their scholarly tendencies in Arabic linguistic studies. The significance of this research lies in highlighting the frequently overlooked scholarly legacy of scholars of Crimean origin and in reassessing their intellectual contributions to Arabic linguistics in the Ottoman world. By identifying and evaluating their works—whether original compositions, commentaries, or marginal notes—the study aims to position these scholars within the broader tradition of Ottoman Islamic scholarship. A historical-biographical methodology has been employed, drawing on classical sources, biographical dictionaries, manuscript catalogs, and archival documents to identify relevant figures. The findings are then subjected to chronological and analytical assessment, with particular emphasis on the content and scholarly value of their works. This research offers a more comprehensive understanding of the intellectual role played by Crimean scholars in Arabic language studies and lays a firm foundation for future academic inquiries into this understudied aspect of Ottoman intellectual history.
