Summary/Abstract: In modern economic development, the green economy is becoming one of the key concepts, as it harmonizes the economic, ecological and social dimensions of growth. The essence of the green economy is the creation of an economic system that promotes the efficient use of resources, the reduction of harmful gas emissions and the development of new technologies that contribute to sustainable production and consumption. The paper will analyze the economic aspects of the green economy and examine their impact on the competitiveness of the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Given that Bosnia and Herzegovina is facing the challenges of low productivity, high levels of pollution and insufficiently developed awareness of sustainable development, the green economy can represent an important instrument for strengthening the competitiveness of the economy. The aim of the paper is to investigate the economic aspects of the green economy and analyze the impacts on the competitiveness of the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The subject of the research will include an analysis of the concept of the green economy through economic indicators, financial instruments and investment mechanisms that affect the competitiveness of the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The paper seeks to indicate how the implementation of the principles of the green economy can contribute in the long term to increasing productivity, export potential and attracting foreign investment.
