Summary/Abstract: The most important result of the first season of the excavations at Grd-i Tle was the revealing of a significantlate post medieval settlement within the presumabely earlier ramparts. The three levels of the settlementexisted in the 18th and 19th centuries and undoubtedly can be connected with the local Kurdish population ofthat time. However, the function of the site is not yet clear.
