Summary/Abstract: National security is understood in the broadest sense as the security of a state and its citizens, although the concepts of nation and state should not be equated. There are numerous phenomena that threaten a state and its citizens, which can essentially be classified into military and non-military. The totality of threats to national security in contemporary international relations is most often referred to as hybrid threats. This aspect involves a combination of military and non-military forms of threats. In the 21st century, in theory and practice, there is increasing talk of so-called color revolutions, as a non-military form of threats to national security.
