Summary/Abstract: In today’s volatile and data-rich business environment, artificial intelligence (AI) is emerging as a transformative force in strategic management. This paper examines how AI technologies enhance strategic planning, risk management, resource allocation, and competitive analysis to drive business growth and sustained competitive advantage. We review current applications – from AI-assisted strategic decision support and scenario planning to machine learning models for risk detection, operational optimization, and competitive intelligence – drawing on recent case studies of global firms. Key benefits include improved data-driven decision quality, speed, and adaptability in strategy formulation (D’amico, A. et al, 2025; Blumberg, D.L. 2025). At the same time, we address implementation challenges such as data quality and infrastructure needs, talent and cultural barriers, and ethical considerations surrounding bias, transparency, and accountability. We discuss emerging best practices for integrating AI into strategic processes, highlighting the importance of human-AI collaboration. Rather than replacing human judgment, AI serves as an augmenting tool – expanding analytical capabilities, mitigating cognitive biases, and generating insights – while executives provide context, creativity, and ethical oversight (Boston consulting group, 2024). The evolving partnership between human strategists and AI systems points to a future where companies that effectively combine their strengths can achieve superior strategic agility and performance.
