Summary/Abstract: Migration is one of the phenomena that shapes and develops culture. The Turks, by taking their own traditions, customs, and usages to the geographies they migrated to, ensured the enrichment of culture and its being in a constant state of change. From the day humankind has existed until today, it has formed a culinary culture by benefiting from the geography and the opportunities in which it found itself. The Turks too, over centuries, carried along with them to the geographies they migrated to the culinary culture they had formed. With the migrations that took place, culinary culture was carried abroad and there, by interacting with other cultures, created new syntheses. In this study, attention is focused on Turkish culinary venues in London, and the synthesis that emerged here is addressed. Especially, beginning from the 1970s, with the migrations to England, Turkish dishes, culinary utensils and tools, and forms of food service began to be carried to this country. Over time, not only a dish or the way of presenting a dish, but as a whole Turkish culinary venues gained prevalence in England. The common concrete representations of this are found in the capital, London. In London, there are Turkish culinary venues that are still developing and day by day gaining prevalence. In this article, the eating venues belonging to Turkish culinary culture in London have been examined and classified. For the examination of the said venues in England, the necessary ethics committee approval was obtained, and information on the subject was gathered from the field through compilation – interview and observation – method. The examination of the Turkish culinary venues in London is important in terms of showing how a culture that is far away from its own lands exists in the place it went to as a result of migration, and the form it has taken over time. This examination also underlines the main characteristics of culture such as diversification, portability, and openness to change. In this context, the examination of culinary venues bears great importance in terms of revealing Turkish culture and folklore in London.
