Summary/Abstract: This article examines the conception, planning, and implementation of the exhibition Forgotten Warriors and Eternal Adornments (National Museum of Transylvanian History, 2024–2025), aiming to investigate how a complex museum project is developed and managed in contemporary Romania. It is structured in several sections that move from the theoretical framework, exploring the evolving role of museums from repositories of artifacts to platforms for dialogue and participatory learning, towards the practical stages of project management. These phases include human resources, financial planning, legislative constraints, and conservation requirements, approached from the perspective of the curatorial team. The narrative highlights strategies for integrating scholarly research with public engagement, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, inclusive communication, and audience-centered interpretation. The article also reflects on the challenges raised by the Romanian legislative and institutional context for international cultural cooperation. By linking the theme of migration in the 4th–6th centuries to contemporary issues, it argues for exhibitions as tools of critical reflection and socialconnection. The concluding sections draw lessons from this project, advocating for structural changes in museum organization to align with international standards, enhance efficiency, and foster innovation in heritage presentation. The research explores what worked well, what obstaclesemerged, and what lessons can be learned from this process.
