Summary/Abstract: The medieval and pre-modern lapidarium of the National Museum of Transylvanian History is one of the most valuable collections of this institution, founded within the framework of the Transylvanian Museum Society, which has been collecting architectural, sculptural, and funerary elements from the demolition of Transylvanian historical buildings since the second half of the nineteenth century. The current study presents one of the most significant periods in the history of this collection, linked to the distinguished figure of archaeologist Bela Posta, director of the Numismatic and Antiquities Collection of the Transylvanian Museum Society.
