Summary/Abstract: The digital competences of teachers are fundamental for the successful implementation of artificial intelligence in education and the need to automate the educational system. As an important part of learning activities, the focus of this paper is assessment in the context of the European Framework for Digital Competence of Teachers (DigCompEdu). For the purpose of this research, a study and analysis of key activities and tools needed to implement the assessment process through the application of artificial intelligence has been carried out. The research was carried out in response to the relevance and necessity of the application of modern technologies in the learning process. The effectiveness of assessment through artificial intelligence depends on a number of factors and challenges and is essential for teaching. Its successful application depends on the level of digital competences of teachers and their readiness to cope with emerging challenges. The knowledge, skills and competences to work with digital tools and their effectiveness in the assessment process play a key role in this direction.
