Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses the treatment of linguistic calques in etymological dictionaries of the Serbian, Slovenian and Bulgarian languages. All calques attested in the first volume of the Concise Etymological Dictionary of the Serbian Language (A–J) are compared with the corresponding lexical material from the etymological dictionaries of Slovenian (Bezlaj; Snoj) and Bulgarian (BER). Out of one hundred and thirty-four (134) loan translations attested in PERSJ, Bezlaj dictionary interprets eleven words (11) as calques, Snoj – fifteen (15), and BER – two (2). Only one word is interpreted as calque in all the considered etymological dictionaries – Serb. сỳгласнūк, Sln. soglȃsnik, Bulg. съглàсна.
