Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the unification of the plural forms of nouns of all genders in contemporary Slavic languages. It also presents the situation in some dialects. It deals more closely with Czech, since in this language declension is very diverse due to historical linguistic changes. In the plural instrumental, endings with the final vocalic -a (-ama, -ema, -ima, -ma) are promoted in this language. In the non-literal language, the suffix -ma is reduplicated (lidmama, věcmama, etc.). At the same time, it is shown that the suffix -ma is not stable in nouns where it is appropriate, i.e. where it expresses the original dual form (e.g. rukama, nohama). In other Slavic languages, too, there is movement in plural declension — e.g. the mixing of genitive and locative endings in Russian leads to a disruption of the unification of endings of all genders.
