Summary/Abstract: The paper is a case study on non-restrictive, post-posed double-headed relative clauses using data from Russian and Polish. These double-headed constructions are located at the fringe of the grammatical systems; they are marginal from both a quantitative and a normative perspective. The relation between the antecedent and the internal head closely resembles the relation between the antecedent and the anaphoric noun phrase in syntactically independent clauses. Therefore, I propose analyzing such sequences of clauses in terms of cohesion rather than syntax.
