Summary/Abstract: The article examines the socio-economic involvement of the Catholic Church – particularly Caritas Poland – in supporting victims of the war in Ukraine following the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022. The authors present a broad range of relief efforts carried out both in Poland and Ukraine, highlighting how these initiatives align with the Church’s mission of aiding those in need. The paper discusses the scale of material destruction, human losses, and the resulting migration crisis, as well as the response of Polish society and Church structures to the humanitarian emergency. Special attention is given to programs implemented by Caritas, such as “Tents of Hope,” “Family to Family,” and “Parcel for Ukraine,” which provided financial, material, and psychological assistance to refugees and those affected by war. The aim of the article is to assess the effectiveness and multidimensional nature of the Church’s support and to determine to what extent these actions address the real needs of beneficiaries. The study is of a review character and applies methods of analysis and synthesis.
