Summary/Abstract: The modern fashion industry is faced with increasing environmental challenges. Children's clothing, due to its short period of operation, also raises a number of problems. Innovative solutions are needed to increase the sustainability of the industry. This paper presents the possibilities for applying the Zero Waste method for the design of children's clothing. The aim is to control the amount of generated textile waste at the earliest stage. The basic design of a children's shirt has been adapted for modeling children's dresses according to the principles of Zero Waste. An author's collection of children's dresses based on the Bulgarian national costume has been developed
