Summary/Abstract: In the text, I start from the thesis of the existence of spontaneous philosophical concepts in Aristophanes’ The Clouds. Antonio Gramsci formulates the thesis that all people are philosophers, and Louis Althusser develops the doctrine of the function of spontaneous philosophical concepts on this basis, finding that they are exhausted in interpellation, i.e. in shaping a desired subjectivity. The linking of formal and spon taneous philosophical concepts to a certain class successfully outlines the social ho rizon of Aristophanes’ comedy. For Miloš N. Ðuric, The Clouds is a valuable source of criticism of abstract philosophical theories. After World War II, Miloš N. Ðuric upgraded his concepts with the basic postulates of Marxist theory, and this is also noticeable in the texts dedicated to Aristophanes. The theses formulated after Ðuric’s turn towards materialist and Marxist interpretations of antiquity become consistent with Althusser’s thesis on the emergence of philosophy within the framework of the “Greek miracle”. In order for philosophy to emerge, three elements must act synchro nously: the state, class and science. The concept of justice is particularly symptomatic and ambiguous, which in the dynamics of spontaneous and formal philosophical ideas can interpellate different forms of subjectivity. Miloš N. Ðuric found an unexpected ally in Aristophanes, with whose help he can preserve the idea of the importance of spontaneous concepts in a new context.
