Summary/Abstract: This study analyses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the integration of EU countriesinto global value chains (GVC) and its relationship with microeconomic performance (GOS). The evolution of GVC and GOS during the period 2017-2023 confirms the temporary natureof the shock, indicating a certain degree of resilience at the EU level, which is not observedin all member states. The analysis by country and economic sector using mobility indiceshighlights the relative structural stability of the GVC. A comparative analysis of the resilienceof countries using GVC and GOS reveals certain similarities for a large part of the EU states, which confirms a strong link between the two indicators, exclusively in economies with highresilience from the perspective of GVC (R² = 0.65-0.71).
