Economic Policies and Strategies of the Central Bank of Romania in the Current Geopolitical Context

Summary/Abstract: The scientific paper aims at the current political flow at the beginning of 2025, with many turbulences in the political environment that significantly influence the national economy, Romania's benchmark indices being in decline due to several problems both internal and external, which raises uncertainty among citizens, investors and institutional bodies. Through this research, it will be highlighted how the Romanian economy has been influenced by the events of the last 5 years, how the market has evolved during this period and how the Central Bank of Romania has intervened through various economic and monetary policies to right the ship and restore confidence and stability through various strategies that have also been practiced in other member states of the European Union. The research also concludes with a small forecast for the future over a period of 1-3 years, on how Romania's economic market will evolve and what measures the National Bank of Romania could take in the future to bring our country back among the trustworthy states from a financial and investment point of view.
