Summary/Abstract: The magazine Weekly Cinematographic Review (Kinematographische Wochenschau) was published in Berlin from 1910 to 1914 as the organ of the French film company “Léon Gaumont” (Organ der Firma Léon Gaumont), published by its branch in Vienna, opened in 1909. The entire issue of the publication is preserved in the library of the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, with only the years 1912–1914 being digitised (http://digital.ub.uni-duesseldorf.de/ihd/periodical/structure/6970955). It was during this period that combat operations developed on the fronts of the two wars – the Balkan War (1912–1913) and the Second Balkan or Inter-Allied War (1913), in which the Kingdom of Bulgaria took an active part. According to the information in the „Weekly Cinematographic Review“, Gaumont’s cameramen covered some of the actions of the Bulgarian army during this period, and the footage they shot was included as objects in the company’s regular weekly film review, distributed worldwide.
