Summary/Abstract: This paper, based on materials of the Latvian National Museum of Literature and Music and the National Library of Latvia, discusses early works by the prominent Latvian composer Georgs Pelēcis (b. 1947), beginning with his teenage years. A collection of such manuscripts offers an opportunity to view a creative personality not only as a genius but also as a human being, with all their creative searches and doubts.
