Summary/Abstract: The article presents an analysis of figural art of the Lusatian culture discovered at site number 9 in Markowice, Strzelno commune, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship during rescue excavations carried out in 2014–2015. Among the abundant ceramic material, fragments of vessels decorated with dendromorphic, zoomorphic and anthropomorphic motifs were identified, as well as two unique clay figural representations. Of particular significance are schematic depictions of birds, previously unrecorded in the ornamentation of Lusatian vessels, and a realistic representation of a human foot, which is a rarity within this cultural context. The findings from Markowice provide valuable comparative material and broaden our knowledge of the diversity and functions of figural art in the Lusatian culture.
