Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the problem of using therapeutic fairy tales in sociotherapeutic work. The concept of a therapeutic fairy tale was defined and the types of such fairy tales were discussed due to their purpose. Methodical guidelines for the therapist’s own preparation of fairy tales, taking into account the profile of the fairy tale recipient and the problem experienced by him, were also presented. In addition, the article highlights the issues of the qualities of the therapeutic fairy tale, which are conducive to the realization of sociotherapeutic goals aimed at reevaluating the critical experiences of class participants and correcting the cognitive judgments made from such experiences.
