A Report on the Conference: “1000 years of Poland in Europe – review of experiences and prospects for the future”, Wrocław, 23–24 June 2025

Summary/Abstract: The academic conference “1000 Years of Poland in Europe – review of experiencesand prospects for the future”, held in June 2025 at the University of Wrocław, provided an inter-disciplinary forum to discuss Poland’s position in Europe. During the two-day event, participantsexamined key contemporary challenges: international security (including energy and space securi-ty), Poland-EU relations, cultural identity, migration processes, and local governance development. Special emphasis was placed on the role of historical heritage in shaping Poland’s future position ina united Europe, particularly in the context of Poland’s 2025 EU Council Presidency.
