Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the considerations contained in this article, is to analyse the basicassumptions and evolution of the European People’s Party (EPP) position on climate protectionissues and energy policy and transition, in the light of the party’s 2019 and 2024 election manife-stos. The juxtaposition of the content of the election manifestos provides an opportunity to answerthe question with which energy and climate policy agenda the EPP enters the new term of the Eu-ropean Parliament.
