Summary/Abstract: Thе current article is an attempt to describe the conceptual principles of the token system and its implementation in a variety of contexts. It traces historical background and its subsequent application in areas of practical relevance, primarly for vulnerable groups. It examines its constituent components and the consitions for its appointment and conduct. The theoretical rationale is supported by a set of empirical and evidence-based data, validating the token system as effective.
