The provocative question posed in the title of the article is intended to encourage reflection on the history, present, and future of agricultural museums. Drawing on selected literature, the article outlines the developmental stages and mission of Polish agricultural museums—from agricultural, natural, and industrial collections used practically in offices and agricultural schools to fully fledged museum institutions. The article concludes with an overview of the challenges currently facing agricultural museums, including the National Museum of Agriculture and Agri-Food Industry in Szreniawa, particularly in the area of reinterpreting agricultural heritage which are based on the experiences of selected museums associated with the International Association of Agricultural Museums (AIMA).
