Summary/Abstract: Studying the Hungarian animal names of the Sub-Carpathian region in Ukraine has so far been a neglected field of onomastics. Only a couple of works could be mentioned concerning this topic. The author of this paper wishes to make up for the scarcity of relevant literature by systematically collecting animal names in certain parts of Beregszász district for his PhD thesis.
