Reminiscing about the establishment of the journal Névtani Értesítő

Summary/Abstract: To celebrate the 30th issue of the journal Névtani Értesítő the author recalls the circumstances of establishing the periodical. The journal was initiated by Mihály Hajdú and András Mező. The paper enumerates the aims set at the start, describes the reception of the periodical, speaks about the difficulties in editing and maintaining the journal, reports on changes of editors, and finally thanks every contributor for increasing the quality of the scholarly journal by their work.
