Conditions for the Development of the Lutheran Congregational Network in Wielkopolska in the 16th and 17th Centuries

Summary/Abstract: The present article is an attempt toprovide an answer to the question of the reasonsfor the occurrence and development of the phe-nomenon of the Reformation in the province ofWielkopolska in the 16th century. Th e imme-diate consequence was the establishment of theLutheran denomination, the development of itsecclesiastical structures, and the organisation ofits territorial administration. An analysis of theextant factors of a geographical, mental, social, andpolitical nature was conducted, thereby facilitat-ing the establishment of a comprehensive contextconducive to the phenomenon in question.
