Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on different aspects of spiritual development among users of health and social care services. It is based on a review of existing publications on spiritual development, focusing on the relationship between religion, spirituality and health, as well as findings from a quantitative study on the need for spiritual and emotional development and self-improvement. The study was conducted in March 2025 among users of health and social services in the South-Central Region of Bulgaria. The paper examines the process of spiritual growth, traces the impact of spirituality and spiritual practices on the overall well-being and fulfilling lives of users of these services, traces emotions and states associated with inner peace, and describes the relationship between faith, spiritual practices and the development of a positive attitude, which has a tangible impact on a person’s health.
