PROMOTING ACTIVE LEARNING THROUGH THE USE OF ELECTRONIC RESOURCES ON RELIGION

Summary/Abstract: In order to achieve a deeper understanding of knowledge and to be able to apply it practically, it is necessary to use various teaching methods and innovations in the teaching and learning process. A numberof different international and national educational strategies include the implementation of active learning methods and techniques and the use of information and communication technologies in education. The application of electronic resources in education helps to present religious content in an accessible and attractive way. In this regard, the article examines the various types of electronic resources applicable to religious education as a method of promoting active learning.The diversity of activities and games presented and included in the “Holiday Calendar” – living worksheets for religion for 1st grade – is emphasized. Working with them makes the learning process interesting and enjoyable, it changes the students’ attitude towards learning and helps overcoming apathy and inertia, it also motivates and engages all students, and developsstudents’ skills when working with information technologies.
