THE LITERATURE TEXTBOOK – PROBLEMS AND OPPORTUNITIES

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the need for standardization of literature textbooks in order to ensure greater consistency in their design, structure, and methodological framework, thereby optimizing the reception of literary discourse in secondary education. It examines certain shortcomings in layout and systematic presentation of content and proposes, from the author’s perspective, more effective alternatives. The issue of textbook authorship is also addressed, particularly the role of experts who train literature teachers. At present, these experts act more as observers of the inconsistencies in existing teaching materials than as correctors or contributors to their improvement.
