Summary/Abstract: The construction of the house in the Romanian rural environment was a process deeply imbued with symbols, beliefs, and ritual practices. The house was not merely an architectural structure, but a sacred space, located at the intersection between the profane world and the divine. This study offers an ethnographic and anthropological analysis of a series of beliefs, superstitions, and customs associated with the building of the traditional Romanian house — from the choice of location and the right time, to the rituals of consecration and spiritual protection.
