Summary/Abstract: In 2020, during a period when meetings and opportunities for social interaction were almost completely suspended, we nevertheless celebrated, in a small circle, the creator of the Folklore Archive of Moldova and Bukovina. The volume published at that time, which suggestively linked the existence of the Archive to that of its founder, demonstrated the profound, vital, and lasting connection between the emergence and development of this treasure of essential information for understanding the traditional civilization of this part of the country and the destiny of the man who dedicated his entire career—his entire skill and devotion—to building this scientific space, where unpublished materials intertwine organically with a rigorous research methodology. The 2020 volume was, for the Folklore Archive of Moldova and Bukovina in Iași, a moment of synthesis and remembrance.
