Summary/Abstract: In recent years, operational-tactical actions have been undertaken in the Sarajevo Canton, which included the suppression, detection and prosecution of criminal offenses related to drug crime. The focus of police and prosecutorial action has been numerous individuals and organized criminal groups operating in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose criminal behavior included the production, trafficking and distribution of narcotics. In this paper, we have focused on the complexity of criminal and criminal procedural procedures in the detection, clarification and evidence of the aforementioned criminal offenses. Given the increasingly sophisticated forms of drug networks, in this paper we focus on the importance of criminal processing as a basic tool in the initial stages of collecting operational information, identifying suspects, as well as collecting and analyzing material evidence. Special attention is paid to specific methods of criminal tactics and forensics. The paper also analyzes the criminal procedural framework of evidence, with a focus on the legal assumptions of the legality of evidence. Special importance is attached to the role and cooperation between police authorities and prosecutors, as well as the importance of international cooperation given the transnational nature of drug-related crime. Through a combination of a theoretical approach and analysis of concrete examples from practice, the paper points to the challenges and specificities of detecting and proving drug-related crimes, but also to the need for continuous strengthening of institutional capacities, the legislative framework and interdepartmental cooperation. The conclusions of the paper confirm that an effective fight against drug-related crime is unthinkable without the interaction of criminology and criminal procedure law.
