Summary/Abstract: The interaction of the legislator with the matter of statute of limitations for criminal offences, declaratively related to the state of epidemic or its threat, prompts us to ask a more general question whether and to what extent is it possible and justified to extend the statute of limitations due to per- turbations in the activities of the judiciary. Firstly, the study adopts a theoretical perspective, seeking justification for this type of modification. Secondly, it adopts a dogmatic point of view, trying to answer whether such interference would be possible under the current legal system. Finally, it eva- luates the specific regulations contained in the so-called COVID Act.
