Summary/Abstract: The Ars Electronica Festival in Linz (Austria) 2005 was dedicated to the situation of living in paradox of Integral Reality. The festival included interactive shows, perfomances and installations, sound projects and concerts. The main award- Golden Nike in the cathegory of computer animations and usual effects received Tomek Bagiñski (Poland) for a film “Fallen Images”. American composer and multimedia artist, Maryanne Amacher was awarded with Golden Nike for her interesting, sound project “Theo! A Sonic Sculpture”, The two authors of a digital map on milk distribution in Europe, Jeva Auzina and Esther Polak (Lithuania) received the award in the interactive art cathegory. In the range of interactive installations, Ashoka Submarana (India) presented the light project “Glow Positionig System”. Japanese Artist, Atu Tanaka showed the work, inspired with photographs by Noboyushi Araki. Next, Keith Armstrong brought to the festival “Intimate Transactions”, A new kind of interactive installation, that enables the two people, even staying in faraway countries, to cooperate by movements of their bodies. That action effected in a graphic visualization of their relationship, which appeared on the screens. In the cathegory of sound, Amit Pitaru from NYC presented “Sonic Wired Sculpture”-a kind of concert instrument, and Canadian artist Steve Heimbecker showed an installation – sonic sculpture “Wind Array Casscade Machine”. The festival was, as usual, finished in an electroacoustic, five-hour concert, entitled “Listening Between Lines”.
