Summary/Abstract: Looking through the pages of feminine history, one enters the universe of Arad’s heritage across the 19th to the 21th centuries, where an unbroken lineage of women emerges. The women who have enriched the museum’s collections through their vision and generosity. Known within the circles of the feminine elite, as heirs to the memory of their ancestors or families, they made donations or offered for acquisition objects of historical, documentary, and artistic value. Thanks to their contributions, we can now reconstruct the identity and destiny of numerous personalities, as well as pivotal events that have shaped the city of Arad and its artistic milieu. Even the everyday life of their times-marked by balls, soirées, concerts, or wars-did not escape the patrimonial imprint left by these remarkable women: the wives of the 1848 revolutionaries, of the generation of the Great Union of 1918, or the descendants of Arad’s once-flourishing intellectual elite.
