Summary/Abstract: The essence of the witness protection process is related to the implementation of specific procedures and the implementation of personal security measures to guarantee the safety of witnesses and their relatives. To achieve this goal, the international community has united around the view that witness protection programs are one of the most effective tools used by law enforcement institutions to combat organized crime and terrorism.
