Summary/Abstract: The commune of Pochidia islocated in the southern extremity of Vaslui County (Romania), at a distance of approximately 20 km from the municipality of Bârlad, in the contact area between the Central Moldavian Plateau and the meadow of the Bârlad River. Five points of archaeological interest are mentioned in the archaeological repertoire of Vaslui County made by Ghenuță Coman. During the surface research carried out in 2021, generated by the project “Updating the general urban plan and the local urban planning regulation of Pochidia commune”, we discovered five archaeological sites within the boundaries of Pochidia commune. The preventive archaeological research in 2024 was carried out for the works necessary for the implementation of the project “Establishment of a domestic sewage networkand a treatment plant in the commune of Pochidia, Vaslui county”, Pochidia commune, Vaslui county. A total of 37 research surveys were carried out in the protection area of archaeological sites, near the route that the works of the investment project will follow. As a result of this research, we discovered four new archaeological sites for which they were registered in the National Archaeological Repertory: The archaeological site of Sălceni – La Pompe (Starčevo‑Criș culture and the Linear Potteryculture, the Cucuteni settlement of Borodeşti – Depozit (Cucuteni culture), the Migration Period settlement of Sălceni – Valea Sălceni (Sântana de Mureş – Cerneachov culture, 4th century AD), the archaeological site of the 19th century Necropolis of Pochidia.
