Summary/Abstract: Crime is a harmful and dangerous social phenomenon. The most dangerous types of crime are an organized and cross-border crime. Cross-border crimes are primarily human trafficking, arms trafficking, illegal trade in fuels, tobacco and alcohol. Military conflicts and the hybrid war taking place in their background are the circumstances that favor cross-border crime. The article attempts to explain what hybrid war is and what methods are used during such a war. The aim of this article is to discuss issues related to cross-border crime in the context of hybrid war. There are many indications that the scale of hybrid war will continue to expand, as will the accompanying crime. The article attempts to explain what hybrid warfare is and what methods are used during such a war. The purpose of this article is to discuss the issues related to cross-border crime in the circumstances of hybrid warfare. According to the adopted hypothesis, Poland is not prepared for a similar conflict, and what is more, extensive media coverage of professionalism of the Polish services has little to do with reality. They are rather an important element of political propaganda. However, the most important task, from the author’s point of view, is to draw attention to the specificity and elements of hybrid warfare that have an impact on the escalation of many negative phenomena: spreading disinformation, conducting attacks in cyberspace, camouflaged impact on the democratic processes of the neighboring countries, undermining trust in state institutions, applying economic pressure. All these activities generate threat to the security environment, also contributing to the growth of cross-border crime. The purpose of this article is to show and describe the above-mentioned strategy.
