Lists of Landed Estates Designated for Compulsory Purchase in the Kielce Voivodeship in the Years 1927–1938

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present the most radical aspect of the implementation of the land reform, namely compulsory purchase, and to present two lists of names. The article consists of three parts and an annex. The first presents the legal basis for the implementation of the 1925 land reform with regard to the compulsory purchase of private land. The text contains excerpts from regulations containing lists of names of landed estates designated for compulsory purchase. The second part discusses two lists of names concerning the compulsory purchase of private land for various reasons in the Kielce Voivodeship between 1927 and 1938. The first one was presented in the text (List of changes in the state of the areas mentioned in the name list in the years 1927–1937), while the second one in the annex (Name list of landed estates put up for public sale in October 1938 for arrears in installments to the Land Credit Society, in the districts of Kielce, Sosnowiec, Piotrków Trybunalski and Radom).
