Summary/Abstract: The Chronicle Records from Bukovina, introduced in 1890, are valuable documents for historical research, providing demographic, political, religious, and cultural information about local communities. In this issue of “Analele Bucovinei”, we publish the first part of The Chronicle Record of the Vicovu de Jos Parish(328 pages), which reached us through the kindness of the former parish priest of Vicovu de Jos, Vasile Popescu. The chronicle includes information about the history of the locality, the construction of the church, the building of the railway, and the establishment of two schools in the commune, one in the center and another in Remizău. The chronicle record covers the period between 1890 and 1963. In this issue, we present local events up to 1913. In the next issue, we will highlight unique events from World War I, which severely affected Vicovu de Jos and the neighboring localities.
