Summary/Abstract: The article investigates the Belarusian 11-syllable line of the 19th and early 20th centuries, along with the problem of its linguistic and cultural conditioning. The features of the Belarusian 11-syllable line are compared with its counterparts in Polish, Italian and other languages. Its metric invariant is analysed against the background of other literary and cultural meters. A significant part of the article is devoted to the analysis of the statistics of syllabic, tonic and metric size parameters obtained with the help of the author's original software. Towards the end of the article the author describes theoretical and practical interpretations of the 11-syllable rhyme and explains the rules of its construction, taking into account Belarusian prosody.
