Summary/Abstract: The article deals with West Belarusian reality as the basis for the factual realistic content of Adamchyk’s novel series and as a place of intersection of life paths of Belarusians, which forms source material helping to identify the characteristics of changes that occurred within Belarusian life, manners of behaviour and self-identification. It is emphasised that the address to West Belarusian reality does not limit the story geographically or culturally and it allows the writer to design certain national issues and raise many questions censored in the Soviet era.
