Summary/Abstract: One of the most interesting social and religious process in Romania after the communist regime was legalization and re organizing the Greek-Catholic church, abolished in 1948 by the communists. It is obvious that this effort was not easy being confiunted with the obstacles raised by the post-revolutionary power and Ortodox church. For these reasons, but not only, the rhythm was not steady, serious differences from one region to another can be noticed. So, in some cases all the believers came back to their Greek Catholic religion, but sometimes their number is very small or even absent. Our study deals with the believers of Feldru (Bistriţa Năsăud) where, after 1989, the Greek-Catholic community managed to re-organize. In order to put to light the features of the process we took 11 interviews; 6 of the intervievees never gave up to Greek Catholicism, 3 came back to their religion after 1989 and 2 of the intervievees are Greek-Catholic priests who preached in Feldru after 1989. So we can state that beginning with 1990 the official reconstitution of Greek-Catholic community in Feldru gave birth to some intolerant manifestations from Ortodox church. This, interested in descouraging the process of coming back to Unitarian Church tried to associate the Catholics to "the enemy of the people", "Hungarians" or "sectants". To the same reason, the Ortodox Church refused the alternative preach in the same church that, up to 1948, belonged to the Catholics. Happily all these tensions, inherent after 1989, did not make place for violences like in other villages in Transylvania, the peasants of Feldru managed to overpass these rough moments.
